Facebook post gets over 1 million comments on Guinness World Records

A new record was registered on Facebook this Monday (01/30). Cathy Matthews and 106 other users, fans of the game “Frontierville”, joined Guinness World Records for reaching over 1 million comments in a single post.

The post was made to the group named “Ffgpioneers / gwr / attempt“by Tracey Hodgson, according to Huffington Post. The group has just over 100 people. This means that each one had to post some comment about 9,300 times, totaling 1,001,291 comments.

According to Guinness itself, the old record set for the largest number of comments in a single post was 529,335 comments, made in June 2011. Even Zynga, producer of the game “Frontierville”, has its own records, such as the “Facebook’s most popular game developer”.

The youngsters sent the record to Guinness and are waiting for the organization to decide whether the brand is valid or not.
