More than 80,000 Albert Einstein documents are made available on the web

The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Israel, decided to pay tribute to Albert Einstein, one of the greatest geniuses in the entire history of mankind, launching the website The reason is the celebration of his birthday, on March 14.

On the page a collection with about 80 thousand documents of the scientist is displayed. And, almost half of that number refers to personal items of the physicist. Another 30 thousand are additional or genius related texts.


According to the website itself, since 2003, around 7,000 high quality digitalized images of Einstein’s manuscripts have been added to the online collection. Among the documents, which are scientific and non-scientific, are correspondence, notebooks and travel diaries.
