iPhone helps rescue Chinese child trapped in well

An iPhone helped rescue a 2-year-old child, who was trapped in a well in the city of Mengzi, China.

The baby fell to a depth of 12 meters, and the darkness in the hole made it difficult for firefighters to see and plan. When they tried to put it on the rescue rope, the child kept slipping. So, they used the camera smartphone Apple to see the victim’s correct position.

The recordings were used to position the rope correctly on the baby’s body, according to the The Telegraph, allowing the rescue to be made, and the baby saved. The child was taken to the hospital without serious injuries.
