Japanese brewery Kirin has just presented an invention that promises to make brewers happy. According to the website Geekologie, the brand’s draft beer, called “Ichiban Shibori Frozen Draft”, comes with a foam frozen at -5 degrees that keeps the drink at the ideal temperature for up to half an hour.
In order for the foam to remain frozen, the company used a process in which the drink is stirred, cooled and the air blown into the liquid. The result, however, is not the most pleasant for the palate, since the consistency of the famous “collar” is much denser.
The novelty is already available in some bars in Tokyo and should arrive by the end of May, throughout Japan.
