The youPIX Festival, which discusses and celebrates internet culture, will have its first edition in Rio de Janeiro between December 10th and 11th.
The event promotes a dialogue focused on engagement and diversity on trends in the production of content, interactivity and the power of youth expression on the web, with people who have become famous on the network.
To be divided into four activity spaces, focused on TV, music, advertising, law, politics, freedom of expression and access to the network, professionalization of blogs and vlogs, paid post, literature, games, web etiquette and optimization of the use of tools available online. There are more than 90 guests, among them: Rafinha Bastos, Edney Souza (better known as Interney), Gilberto Dimenstein, Rosana Hermann, Jovem Nerd e Azaghal, Rene Silva, Pedro Dria and Felipe Neto.
One of the highlights of the program is the participation of the American Judson Laipply, creator of the video “Evolution o Dance”, One of the first to go viral on YouTube in 2006, and which now has more than 205 million views.
The festival is free and takes place from 1 pm at the Cultural Center Ao da Cidadania, in the neighborhood of Sade. Censorship 15 years and the agenda can be checked on here.
