Personal data such as phone number, e-mail address and user identification may soon be used to guide advertisers on Facebook.
Some “premium” companies are testing the feature, according to the Inside Facebook, through the Power Editor tool. With this information, it is easier to reach potential customers, either through News Feed, or through traditional social media advertising formats.
This Thursday, 30, a guide called “Custom Audiences” appeared, but it soon disappeared. There it was possible to select a type of information (email, ID or phone number) and upload a CSV or TXT file with the data. Then the audience would be segmented accordingly.
