Facebook started releasing on Friday, 16, a new tool that will allow retailers to track users of the social network who viewed their ads.
With this tool, the advertiser is able to tag the Internet user’s interest based on their browsing history and send targeted advertising. According to TechCrunch, preliminary analyzes consider the tool promising.
The information that advertisers receive, however, is anonymous. That is, it is possible to know how many people viewed ads, but the social network does not offer information that can identify those interested.
According to TechCrunch, for some advertisers, for every US $ 1 invested there was a return of US $ 16 in sales.
“Measuring ad effectiveness and results is absolutely crucial for all types of businesses and marketers,” said David Baser, product manager at Facebook, who said that this type of tool has been in demand by customers for a long time.
