In this second quarter of 2012, the number of Brazilian Internet users reached a record of 83.4 million. The data were published on Tuesday, 25, by Ibope Nielsen Online.
Considering only access to the workplace or homes, the number reached 70.9 million in August. This index represents a 16% growth in one year. Among these, 50.7 million were active users in August, representing an increase of 5% in relation to July and 13% in relation to the same month in 2011.
The sites whose accesses increased the most in August compared to July were those for researching schoolwork, digital books, greeting cards, portals and cell phones.
