The Brazilian Internet user spent, on average, 10 hours and 26 minutes with social networks in January this year. The data are from the Net Insight study, by Ibope Media, and show that there was a 13.5% growth in time compared to 2012.
There was also an increase in video and film sites, which attracted the Internet user for 1 hour and 52 minutes – 14.8% more.
According to Ibope, there are currently 72.4 million Brazilians with access to the network at home or at work, of which 53.5 million are considered active.
The biggest peak of accesses during the month was at 17h, when 73% were connected. And the most assiduous age bracket was 25 to 49 years old, which represents 52.7% of active users.
