Netflix adopts Brazilian rating

The online movie rental company Netflix has until March 2014 to implement the Brazilian rating system in all titles offered in the national market. The determination was released on Monday by the Ministry of Justice, according to which it took three months of negotiation with the company.

Works already classified by the Ministry of Justice will be automatically listed. The rest will be classified by Netflix – as is already the case with TV shows and virtual games. In addition, according to MJ, the company makes content filtering technology available to ensure that children and adolescents have access only to content that parents deem appropriate.

In a note, the Ministry of Justice informs that it intends to reach similar agreements with other companies in the segment.
