Advertisers’ preference grows for iOS over Android

While there are more Android devices than iOS devices on the market, the Apple platform that attracts more advertisers.

The difference between operating systems, incidentally, is widening.

In May 2012, Android was home to 41% of mobile advertising versus 59% of iOS. This year, however, Google’s system dropped to 36% and Apple’s rose to 64%, according to Velti figures released by the TechCrunch.

One of the most responsible for the good results is the iPhone 5, which grew 7.4% between one year and another.

The iPad also did well, up 3.7%, but the iPod fell. The share of the iPhone, counting the old versions, increased by 15%.
