One of the best known and fastest characters in the gaming universe to hit the big screen: Sega and Sony have teamed up to make a film about Sonic, but are not sure when the release will be.
Sega’s part will be played by its Marza Animation Planet division, a Japanese studio that will make Sonic a mix of live-action and computer animation.
The producer will be Neal Moritz, who at least in cinema understands speed, since it was he who helped bring the Fast and Furious franchise to life.
Although it is not yet known what the story will be, in which the screenwriters Evan Susser and Van Robichaux (both from Upright Citizes Brigade) work, it has already been announced that the villain Dr. Eggman is cast.
