A series of images published by Android Police, a site that usually hits the news on Google and Android, shows some details about the company’s new subscription music streaming service. According to the article, the new platform, which will use the YouTube system, should be called YouTube Music Key.
The website says the company will keep Google Play Music All Access running, but will rename it to Google Play Music Key. Both services would be included in a single package costing $ 10 a month.
Thus, the company would have Google Play, the online store where you can buy music, movies, series and books. Google Play Music would serve to play the purchased tracks, while Google Play Music Key would play music by streaming for a subscription fee, and YouTube Music Key, which will serve for streaming music on YouTube.
The service based on the video sharing site will allow the user to choose whether to watch the video clips or prefer to listen to the music only without advertising. It will also be allowed to download the tracks for offline playback, as in Spotify, Deezer and Rdio, for example. The service is expected to offer around 20 million songs.
Google has the habit of never commenting on rumors and leaks and in this case it is no different. However, the company had previously revealed plans to launch a music service based on YouTube, so the leak seems legitimate.
