‘Back to the Future’ sneakers to be released in 2015

The sneakers Marty McFly wears in Back to the Future 2 was released by Nike in 2011, but only in a limited edition and without its main functionality: the ability to adjust itself to the foot. It seems that this will be reviewed next year.

Nike designer Tinker Hatfield was questioned by Sole Collector about the possibility of the company launching a model with this feature and answered yes.

The novelty will come out in 2015, but there is no more information about it. For example, it is not known whether Nike will re-launch the MAG model (the same as in the movie), nor whether the sneaker reaches stores.

In 2011, Nike MAG went on auction on eBay. There were only 1,500 pairs and all the money raised, almost $ 6 million, went to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research.
