Twitter now displays advertising on videos that run alone

It is not only on Facebook that Internet users come across videos that run alone. Twitter yesterday started testing the format on its own platform. Initially, only North American users will see the novelty, which only appears in the Twitter app for iOS.

The tests include advertising videos, the advertising program used by newspaper companies and also those posted by users through the mobile application.

Some will run entirely, while others will show only a six-second clip, but always without sound. And although the time coincides with that of Vine, the videos posted on the service (which belongs to Twitter) will not enter the testing phase.

According to AdAge, Twitter decided to join the wave of autoplay because, like Facebook, it found that Internet users are more likely to watch something that has already started without the need for engagement. The play of the chance that the content will be ignored, which does not occur when this option simply does not exist.
