Spotiify has started testing a new form of advertising that includes involving its users in posts that can be considered spam.
Last Saturday, 11, American users started to see a screen that encourages them to tweet about Rihanna’s new single. The message that goes to Twitter links to the official account of the singer, who possibly has received hundreds of tweets about the news.
In contact with The Verge, a spokesman for Spotify said that for now only Rihanna is involved with the new advertising format. According to this person, the resource was developed to increase the rapprochement between the public and the artist.
