Sony decided to update its Walkman brand and has just launched a new version of the device for $ 1,200 (about R $ 3,252). The model was named Walkman ZX2.
Despite being similar to a smartphone and running Android 4.2 Jelly Bean operating system, the company says the idea is not to replace the user’s phone. The new Walkman plays audio files like MP3, DSD, WAV, AIFF, FLAC and has 128GB of internal storage with the possibility of expansion via microSD.
In addition, the player has NFC to facilitate connection with speakers and other devices and has a range of 60 hours of music.
Sony has not released the forecast for the model’s arrival on the market.
