Quentin Tarantino’s next film can be distributed on Netflix

Netflix can receive strong support in the film industry. Director Quentin Tarantino has been negotiating the possibility of premiering his next film, The Hatiful Eight, at the video store simultaneously with theaters.

There is little information about the case, but the website Screen Daily reported that The Weinstein Company, which takes care of the production of the film, has preferred to negotiate with independent distributors so as not to face problems if it decides to close a deal with Netflix. This is because it would be more difficult to take the idea forward by being stuck with large distributors.

In September, Netflix announced a deal to show the continuation of The Tiger and the Dragon (which is also produced by the Weinstein Company) along with cinemas, which has made major networks threaten to boycott the feature. Then the virtual store closed with Adam Sandler so that he directs a series of films that will come out first on Netflix.
