Nintendo CEO denies that Legend of Zelda becomes live-action series

In an interview published in the magazine Team, Satoru Iwata, Nintendo’s CEO, denied the information that Netflix would be producing a series with actors inspired byLegend of Zelda.

“For now, I have nothing new to say about the use of our intellectual property for TV shows or movies, but I can at least confirm that the article in question it is not based on correct information, “said Iwata.

In the same interview, Iwata also said that the company’s goal in developing games for mobile devices still unites different generations of players, that the currency situation of the yen at the time of the WiiU’s launch forced the company to sell it at a higher price than the expected, and that the “super-stable” 3D function of the new 3DS was implemented at the last minute.

The company, however, has already denied information that later proved to be true. In 2012, the Japanese newspaper Nikkeireported that Nintendo would release a new and larger version of the 3DS. The company called “speculation” the matter of Nikkeiand, months later, launched the 3DS XL.
