Google launches service to remove ads from websites

Google announced on Thursday, 20, a new tool that promises to please both sites and users. This is the Contributor, paid feature to remove ads.

How does the The Next Web, when accessing the service, users can choose between monthly fees of US $ 1, US $ 2 or US $ 3 and, once the service is signed, the person no longer sees the advertisements of the chosen website.

The news is currently in beta and only 10 Google partners are using the new format, including Imgur and Mashable. In the meantime, other addresses can sign up for a waiting list.

Although it seems like a good solution, it is worth remembering that the Contributor will have to compete with free services like AdBlock, a browser extension that hides pop-ups and banners. At the same time, tools like this are high on technology. Last week, YouTube announced MusicKey, a service that removes ads before the videos are shown.
