Daniel Radcliffe, who played Harry Potter in the eight films in the series, will be able to play the creator of GTA in the film Grand Theft Auto, which the BBC is producing.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, Radcliffe would be Sam Houser, a Briton who helped to found and today chairs Rockstar Games, responsible for the GTA franchise.
In the film, the BBC intends to portray the fight between Rockstar and activist Jack Thompson, who spent years harassing the creators of GTA for considering the title as a way to glorify violence.
The film will be directed by Owen Harris, screenplayed by James Wood, produced by Jim Spencer and executive produced by Mark Hedgecoe. The work based on the book Jacked: The Outlaw Story of Grand Theft Auto, by David Kushner, begins to be shot on April 20.
