Apple music sales will plummet in 2014, says WSJ

Largest music seller in the world and one of the main responsible for the formation of the digital music market, Apple will close 2014 with a fall between 13% and 14% in the amount of songs sold.

The information comes from Wall Street Journal, who claims to have sources “familiar” with the subject. If the data are correct, the company will face a much more significant drop than last year, when it sold 2.1% less, compared to 2012.

On the other hand, the incomes obtained with subscriptions and free streaming services with advertising do not stop growing in the market, which justifies the investment of US $ 3 billion that Apple made to buy Beats.
